Big question for earnings will be guidance for 2023 production. If they hold to the 42,400 and have a reasonable plan to get there, the stock will take off like a rocket, especially if it is coupled with news that several hundred are produced and in the delivery pipeline. If they revise down the number to more like 30k and a one quarter slip it will take a beating.
@bayoubob I disagree.
The cars are in the pipeline. Shorts have decimated this thing. It's already "taken a beating". Savvy investors know the future earnings with this company are big. Magna Steyr is going to be the catalyst for them to blow past rivian, lucid, polestar with numbers.
That news today was just the beginning of a much larger rocket that is about to take off.
@mtn-ranger thanks Matt can we get 5 days up or is that asking to much!
Well we are down about 27 cents for the month last full week. My question is what will move it back up. The email on delivery for Europe or maybe we will see cars moving out of the building but nothing seems to work Just not sure if approved USA stuff will help. What do you think can move it and when?????
ONE’s in driveways across the EU and NA
Will I get my Fisker One delivered before my VW needs its 100K service?? The race is on..
and…… will we still get the $7500 tax credit? Only HF knows…
Well Phil I agree but how can we do that this week lol not sure why we had a good up day but just hope it stays. We will use your idea in July or August lol never really heard any big news today did you ?
@mtn-ranger Hey Matt Nebraska Bill do you have any idea from the other sites you follow why we moved 50cents today?
May 22 stock price pops. I can’t tell you why FSR was up about 8%, however a wide range of EV manufacturers like Tesla, Rivian, Polestar, and charging companies like Chargepoint, Wallbox, Quontomscape and other small cap alternative energy plays like PLUG and Bloom had very nice jumps while large caps were steady.

@my23_ocean thanks I own a couple of them was just wondering why it/they we’re moving FSR is usually on it’s own but hope they keep going. Thanks
Well up 2 cents but moved back and forth If we have so many shorts any one have an idea when they will have to buy to cover. Like is it a certain date or Fridays maybe end of month I’m not sure how that works having a short positions

There is no date certain for when people need to close short positions. People hope to close out their positions when they feel the stock has gotten as low as it can (sell high; buy low) but there are two main triggers that will make short sellers close their position: (a) changes in short borrow fee rate, a jump in borrowing rates will cause seller to close out. The borrow rates for FSR had jumped up to over 125% this month (it is now 62%) and (b) margin calls, if the value of the collateral in the margin account drops below the minimum requirement, the brokerage firm can require deposit more cash or securities to cover the shortfall immediately. If the seller fails to meet the margin call, the brokerage firm can close out the short position.
The margin call is the typical catalyst for the "short squeeze." When a heavily shorted stock quickly appreciates, it cause brokerage firms to put in margin calls which in turn causes heavily leveraged short sellers to close out their position further appreciating the stock causing more margin calls and so on and so on... Gamestop a few years ago was probably the best example of stock appreciation purely from a short squeeze (due to market manipulation).
A deep dive on the internet will spiral you down a rabbit hole on short selling (but a fun read if you are long in a short squeeze situation).
