Many people have 3D headsets. I'm sure it should not be too difficult to create an Ocean in 3D.. so you can see and go inside it. Sit in the front sheet and look around.

Imagine the car show rooms of the future!

"Many" seems like an exaggeration to me.  What is the number of VR users on PCs?  I saw something like 2% of all gamers use VR.  For general PC usage probably a fraction of that.  I don't think it's worth the effort.

When people write stuff like this it makes me want to go look it up. So I did. You are correct, the number of VR headsets in the world is teeny, tiny. Installed base at end of 2021 was 16.44 million rising to 19.55 million by eoy 2022.

Many have oculus headsets so not "pc" vr. It's a medium to engage people. Would be low cost give model renders exist and would allow people in show outlets to experience it.

Same could be said for pop up shows. Billions of people in the world and only say 10 pop up shows.

VR would be a new medium to embrace these things and if you are first and pioneer this spacw then you need it.

Infact I'm surprised a company not set up to cater for this... I'd think it would be a easy sell to big brands if they can have their cars in VR for people to access.

@drshahali10 The problem is that if the VR representation did not meet the actual vehicle by the customer's opinion, they could be liable for "false advertisement". Sitting in and touching a vehicle can just not be replaced by VR. There will always still be questions like, "what do the materials feels like?" and "is this my exact headroom?", etc. There would also be no way for the car manufacturer to verify that the customer has their colors adjusted correctly or that they have the right hardware to properly represent the vehicle realistically.

You would be better off just watching several reviews and listening to those opinions and seeing how they fit at their hight, if buying a car unseen.

True, but I'd really hope no one buys a car from their VR experience! Complete madness. Just like some one does not buy a car from simply reading reviews and not taking a test drive. Well I guess I did buy my A3 without looking or test-drive just from reviews. After I bought it realised SE was a different time to Special Edition. Special Edition was the lowest trim Albeit having a manual air condition!

Then again many have purchased the O2 without driving or any reviews!
