Anyone else just waiting for HF to unveil the UI on the big center screen?

It might not be so, but I'm hoping the will use the new deeply integrated Apple CarPlay ( https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/next-generation-apple-carplay-wwdc-2022-preview/)

Android Automotive will also be nice and might be better than if they develop their own OS/UI.

Have they giving out any hints?

Fisker will likely be using Android Automotive as the base for the system.  There have been multiple job openings for Android Automotive engineers and there is this as well:

@danish_ocean My guess is it will be too early for Car Play 2.0 at SoP (Nov.) but if we do get Car Play, it is pretty safe to say that we will get Car Play 2.0 via update later!

@orionpax I really really hope that we get CarPlay. Almost every other manufacturer is offering CarPlay and/or Android Auto.

My concern is how it will look like on that large screen. It looks horrible on eg. Mustang Mach-e with a large horizontal screen and that little CarPlay running on it.

Maybe Apple have updated CarPlay with iOS 16 to match larger screens?

@danish_ocean It is actually the car UI that determines how Car Play looks on the screen. Meaning that they can have the Car Play screen on the top half and the bottom can still be used for the whatever you want to customize. You can see that in the example screen that you put up there from the Mach E. That entire bottom half of the screen has nothing to do with Car Play. The issue that I have seen is that the Mach E has an extremely utilitarian UI/UX. It is frankly sparse and boring. The car's UI could do a better job of using that extra space if they program for it.

That is a terrible implementation of CarPlay.  Our ID.4 has a 5×2 array of icons so there is definitely flexibility on how many icons are on the screen (of course, it could just be 4×2 or 5×2).

@ttrinchi It's the same as in our MG ZS EV, see attached picture. Looks like almost same size screen.

Was driving an Ford Kuga (Escape in the US) the other day that was the same 4x2 as the pictures of the Ford Mustang. Looks way too big on that little screen.
