Last week, we got a really good photo of Henrik sitting in an Ocean with a SolarSky Roof and you can see the shadows/pattern of the light coming through the roof. It's the grid pattern from the solar cells. It hits Henrik on his neck, head, and as far forward as his hands.
For those that may be sensitive to this pattern moving about the interior cabin, we've heard there could be a roof shade option at some point, but not sure how good that will be in California Mode.
I don't have too much experience with window tint on interior roof glass. Is there a dark enough shade of window tint that can be placed on the interior roof glass to mitigate the shadows/pattern from solar cells?

Eeeek, and if i do manage to apply a tint to minimize the solar grid “Tron” pattern, will it be so dark as to block a view up through the roof? I am looking forward to a sunroof again as i always drove cars that had sunroof/moonroof or fully convertible (yeah, even my Fiero GT - don’t judge ?- had a big ass removable glass roof) and the past 5 years we have not had one. But this almost makes me want to keep whatever available sunshade we get fully deployed unless i am opening the roof in Cali mode…
Will I get my Fisker One delivered before my VW needs its 100K service?? The race is on..
and…… will we still get the $7500 tax credit? Only HF knows…
Agree, that's really ugly to look at. Kind of kills the one button California Mode if I'd have to remove a sunshade all the time before activating...
I think it's a shame that this feature is basically forced upon us in order to get One/Extreme features such as Hypersound...at least it seems that way until we eventually see the configuration options.
Kind of ironic that the "open feeling" of using California Mode is marred with a less "open feeling" when not in use.
@atlantic-ocean yes totally agree with you. You would have thought this would have been addressed a long time ago. And for 89900 canadian dollars you would think a power sunshade . Even my ioniq 5 has that for 60000 canadian
Personally, I’ll likely have the sunroof open most of the time unless I’m in the desert where AC is required. I believe most window tint allows visibility from the inside. Anyone have experience with tinting glass?

You could delete Solarsky but no savings…
If Extreme has over $30k in features compared to Ultra…might it be worth considering?
@seancallahan You have sat in the Ocean. What are your thoughts about no sunshade? Is the SolarSky Roof’s tint very dark?

FWIW, both my wife and I have been driving a Tesla Model 3s in Texas for more than four years and neither of us have never had a problem with excess heat from the roof. (Windshield and side windows, different story, but roof, never any issue.)
I have seen a lot of people disappointed or upset about lack of choices, color options, etc. but the thing that bothers me the most is no sunshade. That sucks.?

It’s definitely not a dealbreaker for me but a sunshade would be something I would prefer. Haven’t lost any enthusiasm about the ONE because of this lacking. As Mick Jagger says, “You can’t always get what you want”.

I wouldn't delete the SolarSky Roof at all, especially if there weren't any savings. I love the idea of a SolarSky Roof. Having the SolarSky Roof makes up for the mileage loss of the 22" wheels vs. 20" wheels. I think it looks cool from the exterior (haven't seen it in person from the interior)! Also, in an absolute emergency, you can power your vehicle with solar energy. I'll figure out the shadows/pattern even if that means tinted the interior roof!

@seancallahan Agree. Tinting the roof would be an option I could live with. The sun can get pretty doggone intense here in New Mexico.

The Fisker Ocean in San Diego didn't have a SolarSky Roof, but it did have a tinted OpenSky Roof. It was dark especially when opened having two tinted glass panels one on top of the other. I need to see a Fisker Ocean with a SolarSky Roof still. Hopefully soon if another show comes up in So Cal.
