Phone charger fix!! A+ solution and looks better

I was really upset when my phone wouldn’t charge on my new FOO Qi pad. Even more upset when I had to get a Tesla rental (while my Fisker battery was dead) and their Qi charger worked perfectly (even when using the same phone case). Also I liked how Tesla used a fabric suede to put your phone on. On the other hand, I was annoyed at how ugly the rubber of the Fisker pad was which showed endless marks.

Alas I hopped into the FOO and decided to literally just pull out the Qi rubber mat on top to see what was under. 

It was super easy to pull off without any effort. Underneath it is a solid plastic area similar to any other car dash. Why they put such a thick rubber mat is beyond me. Anyway,  I put my phone on the bare plastic and the phone instantly lit up to charge. And it charged without having to place it somewhere specific lol.  Hooah!

Being that it was bare plastic and I didn’t want the phone to slide around, I found a seller that built me a custom cut fabric for that area, with the proper dimensions that even extend the upholstery all the way to the back of the storage area, and it matched with the maliblu suede interior like it was factory OEM. Took less than 10 minutes to install.
