I created a poll on the "Fisker Ocean One Club" FB group (which has roughly half of the Ocean One order holders) and got 423 414 410 404 394 387 377 376 365 353 322 310 301 286 244 238 229 219 204 189 159 136 responses. 57% 56% 55% 54% 53% 52% 53% 52% are in March. If anyone not on Facebook wants to add their date to the list, let me know below.

(I'll update this over time)

We have hit an 8% sampling rate, pretty good!

@drmalan May have something to do with your location. I reserved 1/7/20 and my built lock expires on 2/13/23 and I'm in Las Vegas

@drmalan Unless you are in Canada, there is something off with your lock date.  I have not seen anyone with a July 5th order date being past February.  Have you written to Fisker?  There may have been an error.

@ttrinchi

they have not answered, other than to say that you’ll receive information two weeks before your lockout date. There are other people that have posted on here that are in a similar situation. Also, the date you paid July 5 versus July 7, does not matter. There is an FAQ on fisker let’s change the date that you paid. Your deposit does not affect your place in line. That your place in line will be held as long as you pay the order fee by the last allowable day.

so this belief that the date that your paid for pre-order (the $5000) has nothing to do with your place in line. And frankly the belief that it should have something to do with it is ridiculous.

Why should someone who placed a preorder in July 2022 and happened to see the email and pay the $5000 before somebody who had pre-ordered in 2020 be given preference for build date. That is frankly, the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard of.

The only thing that should matter, should be the date that you placed a reservation. If you place a reservation and you paid your deposit on time, you should be given priority in line.

@remiche

What date did you pay the $5,000

I paid on aJuly 5th, but it was by a wire that did not process and post until 7 July. however, I was reassured, and it is stated in the FAQ, that your place in line is not based on when your preorder payment processed. The FAQ section on the Fisker website states that the reservation date is what determines the order in which a build order is processed. if you try to get confirmation or virtually, anything from Support, best of luck. They provide nonsensical answers that typically do not even apply to the question at hand, they do not specify who it is that’s even writing the message, and they refuse to take phone calls.

Perhaps the Fisker people are giving special preference to individuals who are doing a lot of social media posts, etc. and I do believe that those individuals should be given preference in terms of access to a test vehicle. Those are the people that we rely on to give us information and share information about the products and have showing their proclivity and skill at being able to do so. I do not believe that they should get preference for actual delivery of the vehicle ahead of people who pre-ordered but yes, at least access to a loaner unit. Rivian was one company that made a big deal out of ensuring that normal individuals who had been on the waiting list the longest were the first ones to get delivery of their new vehicles. Apparently Fisker has a reputation of showing favoritism to those with the greatest social media following.

That’s unfortunate, and but should be the rare exception and apply to everyone equally. so if there are super users at Fiskerati that give preference in their orders, so be it, but the rest of the normal individuals should expect that the rules would apply in terms of first ordered first to receive delivery.

However, in my and @remiche case, We reserved our Fisker’s 31 months ago!!!

we are being told that we will not have our orders begin building until March 2023. neither of us have received a single email explaining the circumstances involved, I can speak to my own circumstances that my build was a normal build that is frankly, the most common color and wheel combination that I have seen. We both paid for our pre-orders prior to the deadline, so how is it that there are multiple people on this forum who reserve their car less than one year ago and are been quoted build dates within the next couple months.

I know you’re just tempted to say gosh I’m glad it’s not me that’s getting screwed over, but remember, companies that treat customers without applying any logic, reason, or sense of fairness, are companies that will continue to act in that manner usually to their ruin.

fisker won’t give us an answer, maybe there’s someone out there who is benefiting by receiving an earlier than should be build date due to their social media prowess. again, I think that’s great but maybe you should use some of that influence to investigate why a company is capriciously applying rules without logic to a reason and refusing to answer when customers just want to know why this happened.

OK, I'm confused. How exactly did you get lock-in dates?

I placed my initial reservation on December 2, 2019, the first week available. I paid my pre-order $5K and confirmed my Ocean One spec on July 5, 2022.

I haven't been contacted since the $5K pre-order.

I too haven’t received any of these emails regarding build dates etc. I only know those emails exist or that projected build dates exist due to these forums.

My reservation date was Jan 7 , 2020.

In this case, the early reservations seem to have the disadvantage in terms of no follow up and assigned build dates that are months behind those that reserved years later.

I also made reservations very early 29.11.2019 and 05.07.2022 and my edit build expires is 20.03.2023, you can see it in build details in the app.

Didn’t reserve until 04/27/22. Had been looking at EVs to purchase and while sitting in an airpot terminal waiting to switch flight to Montana I stumbled across Fisker for the first time. My wife was with me and before we boarded the flight we decided to place the $250 reservation fee. I got the invite 07/20/22. Was pretty surprised that the ONE had not sold out. Jumped on it immediately.

Sorry to hear about your situation.  I'm feeling that somehow, something got mess up.  Hopefully you will hear an answer soon from Fisker.  The theory about social influencers doesn't seem practical or reasonable to me.  I have over 1.6 million views on my YouTube channel and I don't have an early build date.

@remichex Seems that @ttrinchi does not understand that the "Build Lock Date" is under the "Build Details" tab and NOT the "Order Details" tab in the Reservations section of his Log-in Page.  Logically it should be under the "Order Details" tab but thats not what Fisker decided to do.

@old-aviator Wait, what do I not understand?  It actually makes sense it is in the build detail screen as it is the deadline on when you can make changes to the build.
