Need some help in finalizing the Ocean ONE configuration. The mate finish (Big Sur Blue) looks really nice, is matte finish worth the pain? Will someone please share their experience dealing with it in snow (dealing with salt) conditions?

For interior selection, only black looks nice to me. Maliblu is pretty bad in the pictures, is it as bad in the real? I do understand that color choice is personal, but that stitching with a whitish looking strip in the middle is hard to like. I just can't imagine more than a handful paying a premium of 5K for that color upgrade.

I want to go with Big Sur Blue but at the moment my selection is Black on Black.

I saw/felt the Maliblu in person and did not like it. Too much blue if you choose blue as the car color and also not a fan of the material. I prefer leather. Personally I'm going with the black abyss plus.

@blueocean I’m in the same dilemma. My lock date is in five days on March 13.

it’s a toss from being different in Big Sur Blue Matte or Night Drive. Currently I selected Night Drive for the same reason. I’m scared of what snow/salt will do and bird droppings if not attended to right away and scratches! How easy is it to fix scratches on a specialized matte blue?!?

I also agree with the Black Abyss Plus leather. I wanted to be different and try Maliblu or Sea Salt as I’m kind of bored of black leather but it definitely is the safest with kids and a dog.

@blueocean same here locks on 13th I have all blue for now both exterior and Interior. Definitely torn between sea salt and Maliblu. May have to flip a coin on last day. 🤣

Has anyone seen the Horizon Gray in person? Does it read more blue or more gray?

Yes, I have and it leans much more gray than blue. It just picks up surrounding colors. I walked around the Horizon Gray Fisker Ocean here captured on video... it is a very nice color option.

I've been locked with BSB since day one, however I have switched to Blue Planet.  I do enjoy washing and waxing my cars, I have a whole system along with the speed cleaning between washes.  The problem with the BSB is that none of my stuff will work on it and I've decided that I just don't want to make that investment in time to maintain it.  I have had 1 matte Jeep and everyone loved the way it looked but it got a scratch and bothered me for the rest of time.  I will probably 2 tone the Blue Planet anyway, making the hood and upper belt line galaxy black like the roof.

BP / Maliblu / F5

@seancallahan I'm very fascinated with matte finish look and spent lot of time reading about care. At the end, decided that I won't be able to keep up with it, I'm at peace with my night drive selection.

What bothers me is the interior selection options, being guinea pig for Ocean, we have been given free upgrade. And yet, can't take advantage of it, Maliblu is pretty ugly and white option is okay but looks cheap (at least in pictures).

I came to grips with my unlikelihood of being able to properly maintain Big Sur Blue and went with Night Drive, which is also a great exterior color. However, much harder to keep clean than Great White. As for interiors, I'm happy with the Black Abyss Plus even if MaliBlu or Sea Salt are more expensive upgrades. Personally, I don't think any of the interior options are ugly. I just think the Black Abyss Plus is going to be a lot easier to care for than the other two options especially with children.

I had an epiphany today. I was agonizing over what PPF to put on the BSB or how to ceramic coat it and what products to use to prevent air from touching it.. and then the solution hit me. Its so freaking brilliant I should charge you for even writing it…

instead of spending $3-$5k on a prophylaxis for the car like the PPF protection, why not just drive the car the way it is and when it eventually gets a few chips or noticeable dings on the hood or where ever, why not just get a matte wrap in the exact BSB color (which any decent wrapping studio will be able to replicate within about 30 days after the first BSB’s hit the road) and apply it specifically to that particular panel for a few hundred dollars?? Sort of like putting the diaper on the baby after it poops.

But put it this way, you will save a few grand (initially) if you got to have the BSB but are terrified of the care /protection required with it and as your car ages, it will actually look better with the fresh wrap placed on it..

i know, it will be hard to duplicate wrapped panels applied months or years apart, but some of these studios are really good - or you could always elect to wrap the front end, then the doors and eventually the rear to make the transition less noticeable.

Best, get Mariana, ….don’t wash it for a year or so and you’ll get BSB. 😉

@seancallahan that is super helpful. It totally picks up the colours around it. Sometimes blue sometimes very grey (no surprise there of course). It would be so helpful on Fisker’s social posts to attribute the colour of the vehicle depicted—not a post without the inevitable question of “is that the ______ colour?”

@seancallahan I am struggling between Maliblu and Black Abyss Plus. I think you have seen both! Which one do you like from design perspective? I lock-in March 13.

I have Mariana, Airglider F5b black, Maliblu right now. In pictures Maliblu is all over the place. I noticed that Maliblu is Alcantara only in the seating area and rest are indigo Feeltek® leather.
