Based on a post on stickwits from a gentleman who went to test drive an Ocean mentioned a quote from the sales person (See attached)..I knkw a lot of issues are reported for the existing keyfob. The future looks promising. I wish Fisker comes out with similar RFID card like Tesla that one can carry in the wallet

Where are they selling "floor" models?

I have been told this is in the works (although I have gotten different responses to the same questions in the past).  FWIW, I was able to lock & unlock my car using the fob with the battery removed so the car has the equipment necessary for RFID card.  It should really just be a software update to allow the ability to program RFID cards to a vehicle.  I have an RFID ring that was paired with my Tesla that would love to be able to use with the Ocean (would also love to have my Apple Watch be able to open the car).

@ttrinchi The post came after the LA Grove store visit by this person. If they really sold floor models (hard to believe) but it would be incredible if true.

The same person posted that the rep told him a few O1s are available for immediate purchase since many folks walked away after theirs were built.

@ttrinchi I was told by a person that works fairly closely with HF that the RFID Card is in the works (already being tested) and IF I remember correctly he thought it would be available prior to year end!

I know at the Grove they had a list of available Ones from cancelled orders that people could purchase but don't think they had them on site.  Maybe by "floor models" they meant from the list.  I did go to the Grove two days after the grand opening and one of the Oceans was gone already - I was told they were using it for test drives.

@ttrinchi i would love to have my Apple Watch open the car as well- that would be awesome! The RFID ring is a cool touch. Do they make those in silicon like my cheapo wedding ring I wear for travel?

When??????????

I have not seen silicone RFID ring but have seen silicone wristbands (Rivian has one for their vehicles)

Or you could just implant it in your hand 🤣

Phone as a key was supposed to be top of the list above a second key fob and RFID cards as of the owners meetup last month. Both of those were expected at some point but the priority was the phone key.

I remember the employee quote in Denmark assuring folks the crappy interior door handles were being changed to metal.

Might be half truth since door handles are metal coated (based on some reports) or just a misunderstanding...it's metal, but not full metal 😷

Anyone has an issue with the key fob not opening the lift gate window?  I was told by Fisker Rep. this function has been disabled, but the lift gate window works with an overhead button.

any thoughts?

thanks,

Newt

I just spoke with Matthew in the California office and he said that while I cannot get a new key fob, (my key fob does not work at all, even with multiple new batteries), but they are working with a new vendor for a key fob that does not use a battery!

@1185ga it has a solar panel on it instead and you have to hold it out the window while you drive to keep it properly energized 😂

When??????????
