@ashutosh-sakpal seriously, what else would you expect him to say? that they will move slower? that they don't care about the customer?

all Henrik did was

1)throw somebody else under the bus (delivery company)

2) create another goalpost to be moved/not met (expect Fisker to be faster than ANYONE else)

 

You might say this is a troll, but if you look at the post UNBIASEDLY, you have to say the same thing

This will not satisfy or change anyone that has made up their mind to not give them a chance!

I'll always root for the underdog and hope they succeed.

People made their mind by now, and some will take that explanation/apology message to justify their negativity biaz, and others to justify their positivity biaz. No reason to argue, we are free to make choices.

@tesla4now I am not sure what is your benchmark and what are you comparing Fisker against. There is not a single auto maker who, today can deliver a new EV (Tesla is an exception on inventory point) on the promised dates. 

We all forget easily that when we signed up 5k to Henrik's dream of Ocean 1, we signed up for all the teething troubles, be it service, communication or delivery delays. In fact, I don't know any other company who rewarded the early adopters by 10k worth of free upgrades (against loaded Extreme).

Fisker is just learning the realistic issues around scaling up. They cannot and will not have 100% control logistics and suppliers part quality, no auto maker has it even after being in the business for 100 years. 

Why are we so intolerant towards Fisker, beats me

This is the ugly face of asset-light model, the greater dependency on others/3rd parties. Other than that, it's likely that HF told the truth, but yeah...the overall message needs to be fine-tuned when dealing with unsatisfied customers.

Yeah, it's typical Fisker to say it' somebody else fault, but it's also true that many times it's just that. It's the risk that Fisker took with asset-light and it needs to deal with it properly/carefully to successed.

Asset light model needs lot of planning ahead of time. Unfortunately HF does not seem learned his lessons from past mistakes always keep blaming parts suppliers, delivery delays, govt regulations for the delay! Truth is he is not prepared well to account these challenges and planning ahead to handle them in realistic world. Remember he is a car designer not a CEO of a company before (except Karma)!
