Not a stupid question.  There are companies that are starting to come out with Tesla-to-CCS adapters, however, the Supercharger will not recognize the car so they will not work.  The good news is that Fisker has entered into an agreement with Tesla to be able to use the Supercharger network starting in 2025.  Fisker will likely have more news on how this works as we approach that day.

You can charge on a regular Tesla Level 2 EVSE if you purchase a Tesla-to-J1772 adapter.

thank you, so even if i have the adapter the supercharger will not recognize the FOO.  So, that is why that agreement is important

thanks again

What is the point of the charger selector in the navigation sub-menu?  Tesla is an (unchecked) option.

It's unclear if the "Tesla USA" is superchargers or level 2 as well.  You can charge at "Tesla USA" AC locations with the adapter. (You can also uncheck the Type 2 locations unless you have a Type 2-to-Type 1 adapter but you will not find any Type 2 locations in North America so not as important).

Maybe a Tesla owner can chime in here or maybe someone can help me out with a link, Type 2 versus Type 1 versus supercharger, AC versus DC.  The charging port on the Ocean seems designed to physically adapt to a number of charging options.

With a Tesla to 1772 adapter you can use Tesla type 2 wall chargers. These are the ones folks typically have in their homes. Mine charges at 48A because it is hardwired.  You can also use the Tesla Destination Chargers which are essentially like the type 2 wall charger but are often found at hotels and other public locations. These are both AC chargers.

DC chargers are the very fast ones like the Tesla Supercharger or Electrify America/Rivian/EVGO and similar varieties. Your FOO can use all of the DC fast chargers with the exception of Tesla for now. Tesla has started rolling out DC fast chargers with a “magic dock” that will work on Tesla and FOO (or any 1772 port) as well however there are not a ton out there yet.

Unless you're breaking major news here, your Tesla level 2 charger may charge a Tesla and various other EVs at 48A, but it won't charge the Ocean at more than 32A.   Wouldn't want someone to think the Ocean's 32A limit could be bypassed with a particular L2 charger.

@carlh thanks for pointing that out. I am actually the one who started the thread here awhile back about the slow level two speeds of the FOO.  It was the final straw for me.
