Can someone intelligent (that's not me) explain how 1 fisker can show 352 miles based on us epa but in the UK it's going to show considerably more, probably 420.

I appreciated the tests are different but the batteries are the same so surely the software in the car will show the same estimated range at 100%.

Is the algorithm different for us spec cars vs European cars. 😫 😫 😫

Usually, the range shown is based on your driving pattern (over some distance or time), temperature (ambient and battery), and your destination (If you have set that in the navigation.

If I fully charge one of my EVs, neither show WLTP range as range. Could be higher, could be lower, based on factors mentioned above.

Some cars do base their range on the GOM (Guess O Meter) on EPA.  My Tesla Model 3 does that.  To see the real range, you have to switch to the trip meter and that will take into account, based on previous driving, elevation, route, etc.

We don't know yet if the Ocean does this or not.

I wonder when a new car rolls off the production line, what would 100% say for the battery.  Not sure how they came to 440 odd mile for European spec.

Do tesla have different ranges depending on the market?

As others have noted*, there is some wicked fast battery charging (last charge 1 minute 356 miles added)... and some awesome efficiency (356 miles for 37 kwh)... up there in Juneau Alaska. (But the software is totally, completely fine, no issue, customer ready, and Bloomberg guy is a big fat liar.)

Crikey! I would sure like to know the explanation for that!

My take was that it was indicating "less than 1 min" AGO, meaning it had just been unplugged, not that the duration of the charge was 1 min.

@bayoubob I took that to mean that it finished charging 1 min ago not that it took one minute to charge.

Even if one assumed that "last charge Less than 1 min" meant less than 1 minute ago, it would be miraculous if the Last Charge "356 miles 35kWh"

@bayoubob could be a factory charge mode, maybe not through the owner port,

356 is default factory range at 100%  1 min is minimum time and 37kw could be accurate….

Or, it’s a new feature- Paradox mode: arrive before you leave, first announced in 2076, but available retroactively in all time periods 🤥

It seems to me that they charged from 99% to 100% just to see the 100% epa range number.
