The Fisker website now shows the 16-speaker sound system as Fisker Pulse instead of Hypersound. Wonder why the name change....

Fisker Pulse

@ashutosh-sakpal Marketing folks do these kind of things to earn their keep.    Or so they think.  I don't see either name to have an advantage over the other but maybe they ran a survey that found Pulse to sound (pun intended) more impressive than Hypersound.

TBH, Hypersound has a bit of an Elon tone to it.

Pulse ain’t much better, but as long as I can crank my grunge and drown out the street racer civic with the giant pipes next to me, I’m good!

Will I get my Fisker One delivered before my VW needs its 100K service?? The race is on..
and…… will we still get the $7500 tax credit? Only HF knows…

Is this sound system available in the Ultra?

@commander1 not sure. As per the November SOP document, the Hypersound is limited to One and Extreme whereas Ultra and Sports get the Harman Kardon sound.

Personally, I like Harman Kardon's sound and would have preferred it across all Ocean trims. Sean is one of the lucky Ocean owners who got to hear the Hypersound so waiting for his experience and feedback.

@commander1 It wasn't. The system that was available in the Extreme was not the same system available in the Ultra. The Ultra has a Harman/Kardon sound system while the Extreme *I think* has a ELS 3D sound system, a guess based on somethings that Henrik has said.

Are we sure its Harman Kardon? I thought both systems were a Panasonic system.

Well Harman is an excellent system. Happy with that. Panasonic makes great systems too, if that ends up being what the Pulse system is

Stupid question guys.

Now I'm no audiophile. I can barely hear the lyrics in a song... But in a very small contained space such as a car what does 12 or 16 speakers offer above 8 or even 6 in my car?

I mean if you are listening to stereo sound how much difference can it make.. really .. I'm interested. Sure I know more is better, but some people willing to spend 1-2k for the extreme sound and I wanted to know what it is that I'll gain?

I mean, sure if you tell me it's 16 speakers.. my brain will attune and say it's great. It could be 6 speakers and your lying but my brain will believe it's superior sound! But in reality can you tel a obvious notable difference ... Not chalk and cheese but more semi skimmed and full fat milk kinda way!

Its not just the # of speakers. Its also the speakers themselves, and the supporting hardware. They can really make a big difference, although if you are not hearing as great as you used to it may not matter at all for you. If you have not spent much time listening to different tiers of speakers, its hard to explain. You need to actually listen to them to understand the differences between speaker systems. That being said a 6 speaker system can absolutely sound better than a 12 or 16 speaker system. We all expect that the higher end systems come with better, and more speakers. If you are still listening to low quality stereo sound, you may just notice that better speakers sound better. More speakers fill a space to prevent "dead zones" in the car, but are only as good as the speakers and the system they are a part of.

You should try some of the music streaming services with some of these high end systems. It can be pretty amazing.

The system on the Ultra from what I can see does not include the large subwoofer on the Extreme/One. That alone should be a significant difference.

The multi speaker array on the dash of the extreme should lend itself to better frontal imaging across the front of the vehicle.

@atlantic-ocean I agree. The subwoofer should make a huge difference. In my Mach E, the speakers array on the dashboard from Bang and Olufsen does not impress me. The sound in Model 3 is better (may be because of pillar mounted speakers). Also, there is no subwoofer in Mach E....complete disappointment
