@ashutosh-sakpal Marketing folks do these kind of things to earn their keep. Or so they think. I don't see either name to have an advantage over the other but maybe they ran a survey that found Pulse to sound (pun intended) more impressive than Hypersound.
At Facility, delivery as soon as Nov 25. Ocean Extreme, Horizon Gray, Black Abyss Plus, F7 wheels, VIN 71xx
TBH, Hypersound has a bit of an Elon tone to it.
Pulse ain’t much better, but as long as I can crank my grunge and drown out the street racer civic with the giant pipes next to me, I’m good!
When??????????
Is this sound system available in the Ultra?
@commander1 not sure. As per the November SOP document, the Hypersound is limited to One and Extreme whereas Ultra and Sports get the Harman Kardon sound.
Personally, I like Harman Kardon's sound and would have preferred it across all Ocean trims. Sean is one of the lucky Ocean owners who got to hear the Hypersound so waiting for his experience and feedback.
@commander1 It wasn't. The system that was available in the Extreme was not the same system available in the Ultra. The Ultra has a Harman/Kardon sound system while the Extreme *I think* has a ELS 3D sound system, a guess based on somethings that Henrik has said.
The system on the Ultra from what I can see does not include the large subwoofer on the Extreme/One. That alone should be a significant difference.
The multi speaker array on the dash of the extreme should lend itself to better frontal imaging across the front of the vehicle.
@atlantic-ocean I agree. The subwoofer should make a huge difference. In my Mach E, the speakers array on the dashboard from Bang and Olufsen does not impress me. The sound in Model 3 is better (may be because of pillar mounted speakers). Also, there is no subwoofer in Mach E....complete disappointment
The audio system alone was enough for me to get an Extreme. Never appeared that the upgrade would be an option for the Ultra.
I do miss cruising and cranking some tunes in my convertible days. California mode with the Extreme should (hopefully) be amazing and inspire the long way home. Lol.
I’ve been happy with the system in my 3 as well. Immersive audio can definitely crank out some tunes. Being a larger interior, the Extreme should have better bass. The trucks always do.
According to a Radgiver I was communicating with yesterday, the One will also have a harman kardon system.
@rmorales That would be awesome...HK makes one of the best car audio systems. Had an opportunity to own 2015 ML350 with HK sound, sound quality was awesome
When Bjørn Nyland interviewed Henrik Fisker, Henrik said they are using a division of Panasonic for the system (the interview is 8 months old so things may have changed). Here is the interview (interesting interview overall)...
