Does Fisker allow trim change option for pre-order holders

Fisker Ocean does not qualify for Federal tax benefits. Does Fisker allow trim change for pre-order holders before finalizing the order?

Without the Federal credit of $7500, Extreme/One cost more considering the high interest rates. Would like to switch from One to Ultra, if Fisker allow trim change without losing the $5000 deposit.

@carvana pretty sure that’s a hard “no”- at least to non EU customers as their deposit laws are more consumer friendly than the US.

That $5k was converted to a NR Binding Agreement to help qualify for the tax credit and thus as with most contracts, the “change your mind” window has expired. 

Will I get my Fisker One delivered before my VW needs its 100K service?? The race is on..
and…… will we still get the $7500 tax credit? Only HF knows…

Agree with @seaphil above, but it doesn't hurt to contact Fisker. If you do, report back and let us know what they say.

@seancallahan that would be a nice option to switch to ultra and still save the 5k deposit.

@fibrepunk I already have a second reservation for ultra, hoping that Henrik would allow people like me to switch 5k deposit to ultra or sport.

Here is what I received for the deposit transfer request to an existing confirmed ULTRA reservation. Summary-(No they won't do it).

While Henrik Fisker and the team are following the textbook approach ("We told you so"), it would have been nice if they were accommodating since I was not asking for a refund, instead shifting the deposit to a confirmed Ultra Reservation. At this point, it seems to me that all the flexibility of understanding the delays, adjusting for not having benchmarks, driving reviews, adjusting to Subpar UI, Processor, etc etc etc....... is only one directional (As customers currently most of us are forgiving nature, encouraging to succeed and adjusting to shortcomings accordingly, the opposite does not seem to be happening and my request might qualify as an example). Maybe I have too much expectation of Fisker 😆. It's just that I'm disappointed (I have never in my life put a deposit on a car that I have never looked at or tested in person, a leap of faith is a personal risk with no room for expectations 😝)

Please don't crucify me for sharing my personal thoughts 😉

Fisker Inc ensured to inform customers that the deposits were exclusively for our Ocean One orders - the highest trim option available. The $5000 deposit is non-transferable to other trims and additional orders. 
 

We set proper expectations in the invitation and in the Ocean One pre-order terms to provide you with details regarding cancellations before your submission. Please see below:

Line 13) Cancellation; Liquidated Damages and Limitation of Liability. You may cancel this Preorder Agreement at any time prior to delivery. Additionally, this Preorder Agreement may be terminated by us if you breach the terms of this Preorder Agreement. In the event that you cancel your agreement to purchase your Fisker Ocean One, or we cancel this Preorder Agreement due to your breach, we will retain your reservation fee, deposit, and transportation fee paid to us as liquidated damages.

@kvk1947 I see your reasonings, but Fisker also have valid reasons too.  To lose 5k if you back out of the One order while you also have a confirmed order for the Ultra.  If I am in your shoes, I would just go ahead with the One, as there are quite a few enhancements on the One over the Ultra and given the predicaments.  But what will you do?

BTW, I hold only the Ultra order.

@kvk1947 I got same form letter email from them. They do not intend to refund any ONE down payments. Let's hope the resale is high!

They should give the refund as they are not releasing all the One features (we are paying extra for those) with the delivery and charging $70k+. They should at least give the credit for the features they are not releasing with the delivery and give the option to buy them later!

I really doubt how many extremes they can sell now with no Federal tax credit and Tesla price cuts!

Here is what I found. Go to “Frequently Asked Questions” on the Fisker app. This wording is under “Order” in FAQ. The wording is below:

What if your delivery timelines do not work with my schedule? Can I put my order on hold?
 
As your Fisker Ocean gets closer to delivery timing, you will be provided with delivery timing updates. If the delivery timing does not work for your schedule, we will reasonably work with you to find a delivery timing that works for your needs.
