Well, maybe ChargePoint is going to be a Fisker charging partner in the United States?

@fiskerfan Looks like removed again at least on Facebook . Is this the new norm how sneak peek works.

I can't find anything either. Maybe Fisker wasn't supposed to share it? Fisker's Instagram account has been pretty silent pre and post Valentine's. Nevertheless, cool that there could be something going on with ChargePoint. BTW, that looks like the same Fisker Ocean recently parked in Henrik Fisker's garage.

Gotta say ChargePoint around me is totally useless sub 70kw chargers. I would not stop at anything slower than 200 kw with an ocean unless it was an emergency and definitely not anything less than 150. I am hoping that the nav will not prioritize the ChargePoint poj units.

@bayoubob Most everything offered by ChargePoint near me is a 6.2 kW charger. They all seem to cater to people that work in offices and can let their car charge all day long in the parking lot. I’m better off charging in my garage or using an EVgo fast charger down the street.

ChargePoint DCFC around here seem to be more at dealers (and of the 50 kW variety).  They have some very fast chargers (500 kW!) but looks like just 2 in Colorado for now.  Most of their 125 kW units are in Quebec.  They do seem to have the most L2 units which are nice when they are free (or reasonably priced) somewhere you will be a long time but otherwise useless if you have home charging.

It's my understanding ChargePoint sells chargers, installs, markets, and maintains them. However, the entity that purchases the Level 2 chargers can charge whatever they want per hour/kW. Two chargers in my city, about a block from another each charge different prices. A public school nearby charges $1.72 for 1 hour compared to an apartment complex at $2.00 for 1 hour.

I guess it is confirmed that chargepoint is the EV charging station partnering with Fisker. https://investors.fiskerinc.com/.../Fisker.../default.aspx

I wonder if we get free charging for some time.

I hope they partner with a real CCS company as well.  This is very disturbing news - ChargePoint is useless for long distance travel.  "At launch, drivers can use the App and the Fisker Ocean's central touchscreen to search for and navigate to charging stations, filter search for DC fast charge locations, do basic EV route planning, and calculate arrival times at charging stops."  I really hope the center screen offers other DC charging options than ChargePoint.  I used ABRP to plan a drive from Hollywood to San Francisco and only using ChargePoint added 65 minutes to the drive (still no Fisker on ABRP so used BMW iX as the vehicle).  I-5 is a heavily travelled route, there is "no valid plan" to get to Mammoth Mountain using ChargePoint only.

@ttrinchi  @docsling, thanks for the happy news this morning 😂

guess we’ll have to keep our phones linked to the center screen so we can see other charge options..Even if we get a period of free charging with our ONES, its better to pay a few bucks to charge at a reliable and closer location than to go out of your way for a slower free tank up.

Will I get my Fisker One delivered before my VW needs its 100K service?? The race is on..
and…… will we still get the $7500 tax credit? Only HF knows…

I just checked and the closest ChargePoint to my work is at a dealer, .20 kw but they charge a $1 parking fee and a minimum of $3.00.  It is a 6.6 kw charger last used by a Polestar 2, lol.
Then if for whatever reason I couldn't charge at home, the closest one there is at a dealer .12 kwh (6.6 kw) and a $2.00 parking fee.

So with these chargers, it actually cost more than gas for the same mileage given, which is about 20 miles an hour?

Looking at places far away I would go, the parking fee is 0 for the first 4 hours, then $10 AN HOUR on top of the $1.50 hr for electricity they charge at a rate of 20 miles an hour (6.6kw).  So to get 80 miles it would cost me $6 and if I wanted to get 100 miles I would need to leave and come back or pay $17.50 for 100 miles.  Not sure what other charging solutions are available to places I go further away but I'll be driving my ICE cars there for sure.

I will admit I didn't get an Ocean for long hauls but rather my daily commutes and such, I still have 3 gassers to choose from but other people may not be so lucky and I feel for them on the charging issue.

What has become of the previously publicized agreement with Electrify America as Fisker's charging partner?
https://media.electrifyamerica.com/en-us/releases/87

Nearly everyone else seems to be offering free charging via EA, why is Fisker not on this bandwagon for certain now?

Apparently Fisker figured that doing a partnership with a company that has 8 fast charging stations was better than a partnership with a company that has 800 fast charging stations.
