Finally got my Ocean at 7 pm tonight after endless delivery date changes....that's another story on another thread. My excitement soon turned to worry that I had made the right purchase decision at that point and now that it's stuck in my garage, unable to shift into Drive or Reverse, I'm underwhelmed to say the least. What a big let-down! I read or heard somewhere that it has something to do with the seat not detecting me. It started once when my hubby sat in the driver's seat and pressed hard on front seat, but won't start at all now. Very strange. Will reach out to CS and @fiskerinc on my app tomorrow. 👎 😞

@kristin-d It could be the seat sensor or it could also be the car does not recognize the key fob being in the vehicle. There is an RFID sensor to the left of the steering wheel on the lower part or the dash (just below the parking brake button). Try placing your key fob there to see if it activates the vehicle. If not, I would recommend calling Fisker as well at 1-844-FISKER1 (1-844-347-5371).
That did not work. Appreciate your time though! Thank you!!!
@kristin-d I was having similar issues with many instances requiring retrying and retrying.
My Fisker would even sometimes go into park at a traffic light and not be able to shift into drive.
Finally decided ri check the battery in the key fob (even though I just received it 3 weeks ago). It wasn’t at optimal strength so I changed it and low and behold the problem seems to have resolved. The vehicle now senses the key fob easily.
Hope that works.
