If you find yourself in a situation where you need to access the Fisker Ocean's hood for the purpose of jump-starting or replacing the 12-volt battery, kindly adhere to the guidelines outlined in the Fisker Ocean owner's manual. To perform these tasks, you'll require a plastic trim tool along with a 13mm socket wrench.
Opening and Closing the Hood WARNING: Never work on a vehicle that is plugged in. Always remember to unplug the vehicle before working under the hood or underneath the vehicle.
To maximize interior cabin and rear cargo space, critical vehicle systems are located in the Power Unit Compartment.
This compartment is designed to be accessed only by factory-trained Fisker technicians, and should be opened only in emergency situations.
Opening the hood
CAUTION: Improper tools or improper use of the trim removal tool could damage the service lid.
CAUTION: Use caution when removing the service lid to avoid damaging the paintwork
To open the hood and gain access to the Power Unit Compartment, you will need:
Trim removal tool
Ratchet with adapter (min. 150mm) and hex socket (13mm)
Using a plastic trim removal tool, apply careful pressure to release the clips securing the service lid in place. Remove the service lid.
Remove the two bolts securing the hood. Note: Torque = 19 Nm.
Raise the hood fully and ensure the hood hinge lock on the left arm engages before releasing.
Closing the hood CAUTION: Failure to release the locking pin before closing may cause damage to the hood.
Hold the hood with one hand. With your free hand, press the release lever on the left arm to disengage the hood hinge lock.
Gently lower the hood.
Before tightening the bolts, check and adjust the hood alignment to the other panels to ensure there are no gaps.
Position the service lid and press it into place.

Is a trim removal tool provided along with other accessories? If not provided, where can a trim removal tool be bought?
No trim removal tool included but it is a very good tool to have in your tool kit. They can easily be found and plenty to choose from on Amazon. I have this one:
My Ocean stuff from Amazon is starting to arrive. Here's the 13mm tool for opening the hood. Super compact and looks cool too. 19nm (14 foot lbs) is basically hand tightening.
