Installed the Fisker Wallbox charger today. Installation was pretty easy, but I needed a little help! Setup the Wallbox app and a scheduled charging time. Fisker Ocean is plugged in. Time to test it later tonight and over the week. Hoping the vehicle charges from 12am to 6am.

Very nice and not upside down 😆 . How did you end up running the wire?

Yes, didn't turn it upside down even though that would have been the easiest option! We began by removing the majority of the preexisting conduit and then used an elbow component to discreetly guide the electricity wires within the wall, establishing a new outlet down the wall in about the same place where the Tesla Wallbox Charger was previously installed. Then, I mounted the new Wallbox charger onto the freshly installed outlet. The entire process was completed in under two hours with some assistance. It could always look cleaner, but it's installed. The car should be charging right now. I need to go down and look at it to see if it kicked off during the scheduled timing.

Does FOO have any cables that comes by default ? 110 or 220 volt - like Tesla
has any one had any experience with NACS to CCS adaptor ?
I'm not sure what Tesla does these days, I thought they scrapped offering chargers at no-cost. For your Fisker Ocean, you will need to purchase a level 2 charger for your home.

I am currently writing a blog post detailing my experience with the Wallbox charger. It's worked out well last night with scheduled charging. For those unfamiliar, the Fisker Wallbox charger has a power limit of 40 Amps, whereas the Fisker Ocean's current maximum limit stands at 32 Amps. Earlier today, I reached out to inquire whether Fisker intends to enable the Fisker Ocean to utilize the full 40 Amp charging capacity with the Wallbox charger. Here's the response I received:
Even though the Wallbox charger requires a 40A circuit, it is actually only a 32A charger. It is required to be this way so the charger doesn't overload the circuit. So likewise, a 40A charger requires a 48A circuit.
What this means for the Ocean:
The AC charging speed is dictated by the vehicles on-board charger
The max charging speed for a 32A charger is 7.4 kW whereas a 40A charger charges at most 9.6kW
The difference between those two would be a few hours of charge time if you charged from 0%-100%, but that isn't normal behavior
Fisker has decided to use the slower on-board charger because it means a cost savings on the vehicle, it'll still charge up overnight as that's typically when the charger is being used and it most likely also means the end customer has a better chance of not having to update their home electrical service
The 6kW you are seeing as a rate takes the 7.4kW input rate and subtracts out any energy used by the vehicle and also the normal "losses" you see between the charger and the vehicle
We are looking at faster on-board chargers for next vehicle models while keeping these above factors in mind.

does us no good….
damnit, the 32A speed is gonna be a niggling annoyance for me and will show up at the worst possible times. I can see myself having to stop at a supercharger 20 minutes from my home on the way home from a 250 mile drive just to get my battery level up to near 40-45% so i can then charge it at home at 32A speed and get it up to 90% for my 250 mile drive the next morning….
Will I get my Fisker One delivered before my VW needs its 100K service?? The race is on..
and…… will we still get the $7500 tax credit? Only HF knows…
@seaphil Yeah, it does mean that for your job you will need to rely on your nearest DC Fast Charger like EVgo or Electrify America for a quick boost of energy. Since I don’t drive as much as you but charge only during super off-peak times at home, I will need to do a little more planning that my old car.

@seancallahan its just so stupid. Why brag about range and partner with a home charger company and then limit the speed and inconvenience people who need to maximize range (me) or take advantage of off peak rates (you)??.
I am pretty sure that the garbage being built in Vietnam and China have faster speeds than Fiskers “most advanced EV”...
Grrrr

Sean - or anyone who wants to weigh in - do you recommend the Wallbox charger for someone starting with nothing? I was surprised to receive my Ocean delivery email today! I had somewhat lost faith in this whole process so dithered around, not ordering a Level 2 charger, thinking I would never get my Ocean...then the pics of Oceans at docks were in the news earlier this week. Then today, my "delivery soon" email landed in my inbox. I am totally unprepared. I have a 2014 Volt, but I never installed a Level 2 charger at home. I charge the Volt with the Level 1 charger that came with it, using one of the 3 110V outlets in my garage. There is no 240V outlet in the garage. I will need to use an electrician to install the charger.
I am scrambling to figure out whether to get the recommended charger and the fastest way to order it and get it installed. Thanks for any advice!
@seancallahan wish it was faster. My EVSE (ChargePoint Home Flex) is 48 amps! I would have thought with such a larger battery Fisker would have it max out to 48 amps.

@aes1958 We ordered the Wallbox charger through Fisker on 7/23 and it was delivered on 7/30 so a pretty quick turnaround. Still working on getting an electrician to install a 240V outlet in our garage.

Same, I thought it would have been a bit faster. As a result I’ll be connecting the charger at the end of the day to top off the battery each night.
