AARP? Were all of the vehicles Camry’s?
Will I get my Fisker One delivered before my VW needs its 100K service?? The race is on..
and…… will we still get the $7500 tax credit? Only HF knows…

@seancallahan is it the color or is it the vehicle? (And I am assuming they are ignoring all the NY Yellow cabs in their depreciation analysis.).
If you paint your Camry or Accord yellow or orange, it will likely be worth less than a Camry/Accord of normal colors. The majority of cars that are yellow or orange tend to be low production vehicles, these vehicles will hold their value more than mass market vehicles.

I checked out the site and it looks like colour also depends on the car segment as well such as SUVs in our case for the Ocean.

Taking this with a grain of salt, but suddenly feeling smug about choosing the (very uncommon) compass yellow for our Rivian order.

@bayoubob pretty sure your Rivian could be doo-doo brown with purple rims and you’d still make a killing if you flipped it or even sold it after a year.

By the time ours arrives (late 2023) I am sure pricing will have settled down a lot. R1T resale is starting to settle down significantly (most of the recent sales on cars and bids are ~ $5k - $7k below what you can order a new one for, even if still significantly above the the owner paid). The R1S is still selling for stupid prices of $20k over what it would cost to order one today ($110k - $120k) but it will settle down next year. In any case, we are planning to keep it. (OTOH, if someone wanted to pay me $120k for a $70k truck after tax rebate, I would sure be tempted! Not gonna happen.)
