Fisker Ocean Car Club
I have been thinking about starting a Fisker Ocean "car club" for a couple months now. I don't envision Fisker doing its own car club. And, to be honest I haven't seen one pop up yet. Maybe we don't even need a Fisker car club? However, I've actually been reached out to by several people asking me to start one. I don't know if I have the time to setup or manage a car club.
I do see value in having a "club," so to speak, to work with Fisker on addressing issues as a collective when issues may arise with our Fisker Oceans or even PEARs. Not sure how receptive they would be to such an idea. It would also be fun to have events either nationwide or regionally. Help promote EVs, Fisker, and maybe even ocean conservation? There could be actual events coupled together with "virtual" event locations much like running events (i.e., 5k, half marathons, marathons) for those far away.
I find the Goodguys as an interesting construct for a car club. They have events all over. Every year, I see the Goodguys come to my town. Hot rods are racing around everywhere. They line up, lots of people come to check out the hot rods. It's great fun! They have a very large membership base, some 70,000 members worldwide. They charge an annual membership, which range from $25 to $40. Each membership comes with its own level of benefits and perks.
I think a car club could be very useful. Maybe this forum could act as a launch point for one? Of course, we need the Fisker Ocean SUVs on the road, or do we? If people answered the poll honestly, and I don't see why they wouldn't, there are nearly 200 future owners of the Fisker Ocean One on this site. Many more Ocean owners to follow.
I don't have a clue what should be offered as part of a Fisker Ocean "car club", but here are some ideas to get the brainstorm going. What would I want in a car club or what is feasible to actually deliver? Some ideas on benefits and perks:
- Badge on Fiskerati Forums that shows your Car Club membership level (i.e., Silver, Gold, etc.)
- Private forums for car club members to communicate (e.g.,, report issues, connect)
- Access to certain content/exclusive content (e.g., Monthly/Quarterly newsletter)
- Annual or semi-annual event(s)
- Reduced ticket prices/entry into events
- Member t-shirt, stickers, etc.
I'd love to get your thoughts about a car club, ideas of what could be offered, how it could/should be managed, open worldwide, here in the USA only, what should it be called, should there be a membership fee, if so how much annually, and simply, if a Fisker EV "car club" existed would you join such a car club, why would you join??? I created a poll...scroll to the top to see it. It's a simple yes or no poll to help tabulate interest. Please let me know your thoughts below. 😀
Sounds like a great idea. I was considering a Meetup group here in the greater Seattle area and your idea is a natural extension of it. Sort of the "Fisker Lobby" 🙂
Will I get my Fisker One delivered before my VW needs its 100K service?? The race is on..
and…… will we still get the $7500 tax credit? Only HF knows…
@seancallahan Love the car club idea. Here are some responses to your questions.
World Wide would be awesome. Fisker is a global brand from the start and world wide car club would align with this.
Memberships could be broken up not only by access but also by digital only and physical. This would allow a smaller nominal level to forum members who would share in digital only perks, while a larger level that would gain access/discounts into physical benefits of the club. These options may help to promote the membership level up to a sizable proportion of Fisker vehicles ordered and/or purchased.
The car club can service a collective and collaborative body for Fisker as well as an outlet for enthusiast activities and cottage industries.

Here is my first step to creating a worldwide Fisker Ocean car club. As we discussed, this is something I want to do, but didn't know how to get it off the ground. I think the launch of the Club by Fiskerati is the path forward to starting this car club. In 2023, I will dedicate time to expanding exclusive members-only benefits by supporting a car club. This makes the most sense to me since it already has member management (via YouTube and PayPal) and a dedicated forum for members-only. Also, 2023 is when Fisker Ocean EVs will be on the road! You can view Club benefits and see if it's a good fit for you to join today as we continue this journey together. 😀
@seancallahan I prefer an annual membership, but don't see that option on YouTube. Am I missing something?

@iowatodd You're not missing a thing Todd. At this time YouTube does not offer annual plans. Annual membership is ONLY through PayPal. However, if you sign up through PayPal, you don't receive the YouTube benefits (e.g., custom badges and emojis). If those are important to you, sign up through YouTube.
Member since today!
