Auto Insurance for Fisker Ocean

Geico now lets customers enter in their Fisker Ocean VIN to get a quote. Still competitive rates like earlier in the year when I called by phone. The info in the screenshot pre-loads after entering the VIN. Nice to see!

Coverage is different for everyone. Same coverage as my Tesla Model 3, increased the annual mileage to 10k and the price I created by about $65 per 6-months. Pretty comparable to what I’m paying now.

Yes, there are a bunch of them. I’m using Geico. 

Anyone tried Fisker Insurance? I called them a couple of days before and they mentioned that they can't issue a new policy during Hurricane Hillary even when I am living in the Bay Area.

So, it does take some up-front work to get all lined up with insurance, when you take delivery.  If you are not in California, you might try the Fisker Insurance program.  I did that, because Henrik had indicated that they were going to offer insurance at a lower rate than industry, since they could handle the replacement parts and repair.  Turned out to be a broker who handles 2 primary companies as Fisker's partner.  Those companies don't write policies in California, but they do in much of the rest of the US.  Worth a try, when you get your VIN, and the Insurance Option is listed in your account, close to delivery.

If I recall, Geico preselected anti-theft device after entering in VIN. Don’t recall multiple option.

Same for my Geico Quote today. When entering my VIN , two discounts were automatically applied  Anti-Theft Device and Anti-Lock Brakes.

If not entering a VIN, I usually default to passive, which just means automatically armed when the car is locked.

For reference, Geico is quoting me 41% more for a Model Y vs an Ocean. 

Anyone received insurance quotes in the UK via Fisker so far?

For FOO owners who have received delivery I'm interested in learning what you are being charged for auto insurance.  Obviously some things are major cost drivers such as liability and comprehensive coverage limits, driver age and drive record, etc. But it would be helpful to me and perhaps interesting for others if some owners would share where they landed with some qualifiers for provider, coverage amounts/types and perhaps driver age and state.  if you want to provide a self-score for your driving records by all means go ahead.

For USAA, (military only), my rate jumped 75 bucks a month to add the FOO. 
58/57 yr males

clean records except one speeding ticket. 
20 Nissan leaf and 16 Lexus rx350

rate went from 275 monthly to 350.
