Is the VW ID. 2all going to compete with the Fisker PEAR?
At an event in Hamburg, Germany, Volkswagen offered a first glimpse of its ID. 2all concept, a car that will cost less than 25,000 euros ($26,400) and go into production for the European market in 2025. VW didn't mention whether the car would eventually come to the U.S.
Sized between a Polo compact hatchback and a Golf, Volkswagen says the ID. 2all will be offered with "improved footprint" from an interior point of view.
Inside, the ID. 2all concept has a brand new HMI system — or user interface — with actual knobs and buttons, Volkswagen said.
Volkswagen says the production version of the ID. 2all will feature a front wheel drive architecture using MEB entry platform for EVs, have 450 km of estimated range, and feature 150kW fast charging.
The ID. 2all will be one of 10 new EVs Volkswagen plans to launch by 2026. One of those, Volkswagen says, will be another that will cost less than 20,000 euros ($21,000).

The biggest problem with this EV is that you have to rely on VW service departments for service/repair. For those of us who have owned VW’s we know what an expensive and often overly difficult to schedule hassle this is.
Will I get my Fisker One delivered before my VW needs its 100K service?? The race is on..
and…… will we still get the $7500 tax credit? Only HF knows…
@seaphil Well, hopefully, Fisker's service, ease of appointment, and fees will be decent. That is still in my opinion a big open question that time will tell.
@captainamericas agree 100%!

If the ID.3 didn't come to the US, I doubt this one will either. Small cars are dead here.

I like it but also don't think it will make it to the U.S. though since they never brought the ID.3 here. I may be able to convince my parents to get it in Italy. Their garage is so tight they can pretty much only fit a Fiat Panda (I had a Dacia Duster rental last summer that managed to fit it in with only an inch to spare on each side with the mirrors folded). The ID.2all may be too wide as well. Are they still planning on renaming it the ID.Golf?
