The group includes General Motors (GM.N), Stellantis (STLAM.MI), Hyundai Motor (005380.KS) and its Kia affiliate, Honda (7267.T), BMW (BMWG.DE) and Mercedes Benz (MBGn.DE)

The unusual coalition of competitors said the new joint-venture company would aim to become the leading provider of fast charging in North America with a target of rolling out 30,000 chargers, starting along major highways and in cities.

@carlh This is great news. If they buildout 30,000 chargers using NACS and CCS it will reduce range anxiety and inject price competition.  It would also be a huge bonus to me if this group selects the (WBX) Wallbox Supernova DC fast Chargers.

The more locations, the better!  I don’t care who is making or installing them.

Hopefully it works better and is priced more reasonably than their European counterpart, the Ionity network.
