Hey All,
Anyone who is following the Equinox and Blazer EV project may be interested in this Chevy MyWay experience that is going on now for a limited time and providing a closer look at the vehicles in a 1:1 format:
https://www.chevrolet.com/myway/reservation
You can setup a quick 15 minute call for a brand rep to walk you around the vehicles, show the insides, features, etc. Really slick and professional experience with their reps. TBH, Fisker could have taken a lesson from this play book in helping more of the pre-orders see and experience the car.
Also, one of the cooler features she explained from the Equinox EV is that the moon roof area will have a dimming feature (similar to the Boeing 787) where you can press a button and the glass will automatically tint. Smart thinking-- nice touch. The infotainment area is also massive but more horizontal vs. vertical. I am also elated that multiple trims will have ventilated seats available. The biggest question is availability/timing.
Anyway those interested should check it out-- I think you will find its worth the 15 minutes!
@mag48 Great features, but does not make up for the limited range for the next few years. For those who do not need max range and plan to keep it local, its certainly a great option.
Will I get my Fisker One delivered before my VW needs its 100K service?? The race is on..
and…… will we still get the $7500 tax credit? Only HF knows…
thats better than previous listed mileage for that car. It was in the mid/upper mid 200’s for a while. Is that RWD or dual motor AWD mileage?

@seaphil the full sized Blazer may be a bit less range, however, the Equinox is promising 300 miles and starting in the low 30k starting price point. Likely more of a direct competitor to the Ocean Sport trim with some of the TBD features confirmed (Adaptive/Super Cruise, Ventilated Seats, Wireless Android Auto, larger than average cargo, etc.)
I would imagine that pricing is for FWD only and with living in Florida I would probably opt for this over AWD anyway!
They told me preorders will only be available for a very limited time when they open so lets see what the deposit process will look like!

The "around $30k" pricing is for the 1LT model which only has 250 miles of range and is not available until 2024. The 300 mile range in Fall 2023 is for the top end RS model (price tbd but I am expecting ~$42k) and then for the 2LT (priced in between, should be best deal). As an Ocean competitor, the Equinox should compete well against the Sport. It is going to give you a bit more range, less power, and a smaller vehicle for a $37k price vs the 2LT. It does come with the significant disadvantage of being forced to deal with a GM stealership, so there is that. But it should come with a tax credit which will further help it along (I will not be surprised if the "around $30k" gets morphed into "after tax credit" by GM).

Since much is made here (and rightly so) of Henrik's fast and loose approach to the truth, I figured it was worth an update on what the competition is up to.
Turns out that "around $30k pricing" for the 1LT was actually "$45k" which is now "cancelled, never going into production, those buyers will just have to wait for the Equinox TBD."
The RS trim you can actually buy starts at $60k, which puts it well above an Ultra and within striking distance of an Extreme. In theory there will be a $56k 2LT AWD trim starting production "in the fall" and the top-of-the-line SS trim is now pushed back until spring of 2024.

Now imagine your reaction if Fisker came out and said, "The Sport is cancelled - you can convert to a PEAR in two years, The Ultra is now $60k, and Extremes won't go into production until Spring 2024. Oh, and you now get to buy through a dealership." Yikes!

Not really unexpected; I guess I will just get that $40k F150 Lightning instead that Ford promised.
