Listened to this podcast earlier today. Lots of chatter about used car supply/demand and prices and long term car loans. The gist, supply shortages, and there is still a huge shortage of cars. Demand in Spring is expected to be strong. Mention consumers willing to go for an 8 year auto loan to lower monthly payment. Also, toward the end is talk about Rivian’s green bond offering. If you have 40 minutes, it’s worth a listen. If not, listen to it on 2x speed! 🤣

8 yrs loan!  At the current interest rate?  ouch!  Max 5, prefer 3, else it is out of my budget.

Seriously, right!? Fisker has an 84 month (7 year) auto loan listed on their site with a rate of 7.09% for excellent credit. Chase's online auto loan calculator only goes up to 84 months.

Still wish Fisker had more competitive rates, at least my local credit union has rates just under 4% which kills me because the last car I bought I got a 0% rate.  With my Fisker I'll be putting half down, going for a 5 with hopes to pay off in 3.

Under 4% is a great rate.  Everything near me (including my credit union) are 5% or more.

@seancallahan Sean, you are in SD, if you are looking at Chase or Fisker for Financing, maybe you should join a credit union and get financing there?  I am a member with PENFED and this is the screenshot of their rate:
